Founder & Producer
Innovation and strategy leader with over two decades of experience driving transformation across financial services and technology. Nathan founded Diaspora Diaries to spotlight immigrant entrepreneurship across global cities, challenging misconceptions and highlighting the economic and cultural contributions of immigrant communities worldwide.
Our Mission
Diaspora Diaries challenges the misconceptions surrounding immigration by highlighting the resilience, strength, and contributions of immigrants to the cities they call home. Through documentary film and a visual identity crafted by Motora Design, we tell the stories of people who are reshaping economies, enriching cultures, and building communities, often against incredible odds. This is not a single narrative about one place or one people. This is a global archive of movement, identity, and belonging.
Every episode explores a different city and a different diaspora. From Venezuelan entrepreneurs rebuilding in Bogotá to Ukrainian refugees finding community in Vienna, we go beyond the headlines to capture what immigration actually looks like: the work, the creativity, the sacrifice, and the beauty of starting over.
Next Mile Collective
Diaspora Diaries is a production of Next Mile Collective. Where Diaspora Diaries tells the stories, NMC turns attention into action through storytelling, investing, collaboration, and opportunity. Together, we are building a platform that not only documents the immigrant experience but actively supports the communities we feature.
